song title?
written by Marty Morin , August 22, 2009

you played a song that might be titled "View from here". I liked it but have not heard it before. is it new? who sings it? what is the title?

plot - handicapped person giving advice from their unique vantage point. can see more clearly than the "healthy person". we have to leave the cottage this week for our home in Maryland. thanks for the music this summer!

if you know what song this is, can you play it during the 12 oclock hour this week? thanks.

HARRASSMENT
written by Charlie , September 17, 2009

Since the Edenvale Airport re-opened, I have been seriously dismayed by the increase of LOW FLYING AIR TRAFFIC OVER MY RURAL RESIDENCE/FARM BUSINESS.

Yesterday, in particular, a plane flew within a few hundred feet of my head and "buzzed" my animals in their small pasture. 3 TIMES SUCCESSIVELY!

This plane had NO VISIBLE IDENTIFICATION on the underside so that I could complain or report them. I feel that this should be mandatory, just like I have to have a license plate on my vehicle for the purpose of ID.

I have had planes fly so close to the ground here, that it often sounds like a Dirt Bike with no muffler has driven into my property.

I don't understand why they are doing "Training Sessions" where the novice must cut the engine as if it stalled, and free fall so close to the ground you think it is going to crash, then restart the engine so close to the ground, they may as well have crashed or landed here.

I would expect them to do this in COMPLETELY UNPOPULATED areas. Yet, they seem to want to do this over my tiny 5 acres, when I am surrounded by acres and acres of crop land that have no people nor animals to TERRORIZE.

I feel terrorized and I want it to stop. NOW!

Have you ever had a fly or bee buzzing around your head, never really landing, so technically not hurting you, but DRIVING YOU MAD with the constant annoyance, so badly that you just HAVE to KILL IT, since it won't leave you alone! That is how I feel.

I could have been sunbathing naked in my backyard and this plane would have been able to count my freckles! So, I also feel this to be an INVASION of PRIVACY as well.

Charlie

Cross-boarder Shopping concerns on the news
written by Wishes to remain anonymous , October 15, 2009

If retailers are so concerned about Canadians going across the boarder for better deals, then maybe they should look at the mark-ups on the products they are selling...Gouging us Canadians is NO way to keep us from going across the boarders. Besides, how many Canadians can say they would shop at a Canadian store eg: The Bay/Zellers over Walmart which is an American company.

All I want to say in response to the above comment is:

Have a good time spending your CANDADIAN earned money in the USA!

I HOPE YOU HAVE A JOB TO COME BACK TO IN CANADA!

Quick to complain about our pricing but probably have a good paying job right here in CANADA!

SHOP LOCALLY!!!!!! The community that is supported, supports locally! Sporting events, fundraisers, Food Drives....and the list goes on! Don`t support locally......think about what happens to these things. So is it worth it to you and your family to save a FEW dollars in the USA?

Giving Christmas cheer
written by Gayle Simpson , December 02, 2009

I would like to say that at my job "WOODS PARK CARE CENTRE" in Barrie we have adopted a family for Christmas again. I really like that we all get to join in to helping a family that really needs the help.
I hope that other work sites are able to do the same and help out where they can.

Expanding broadcasting area of station
written by Duane Piper , February 06, 2010

Hi,

I am in Burlington and cannot get your station now that 95.3 is gone. Will you be expanding your broadcast area to Burlington and Mississauga area?

Thanks.

Re: Expanding broadcasting area
written by Pat Robinson , February 25, 2010

I am in Orangeville and cannot listen to any country at all unless I listen through the cable on my TV. I was a faithful listener of KICX when it was on 104 but when it moved to Orillia the signal was lost. I then switched to 95.3 in Hamilton but it was not as good a station more mainsteam - but it was country and I listened to it all the time.
It would be amazing if you could expand your station or start another station in this area. Since 95.3 has gone we are all left high and dry with no country to listen to. There are a lot of country fans in Southern Ontario starving for the good stuff.
